Rock & Roll with Heart & Soul

Darzana is a retired San-Diego based band whose music ranges from straight ahead rock & roll to melodic ballads.  Christy joined forces with long time friends Mike Dillon, Tim Salas, and John Sheppard. DarZana performed in and around San Diego county for over 3 years, leaving its mark of rock & roll with heart & soul!

DarZana

The Sanskrit word “darzana” conveys many concepts, including seeing, dream, vision, knowing.  A google search showed a Bodhisattva who had “Darzana” as part of his name. A Bodhisattva is someone who is motivated by compassion and seeks enlightenment not only for him/herself but also for all. The band knew the name DarZana was perfect, as they emphasize positive, empowering messages.

DarZana’s Debut Album, “Magic Cats & Dogs,” released in 2006 received rave reviews from people of all ages and walks of life. It’s difficult to put DarZana’s music in a single category, because the music has clear influences from rock, alternative, pop, blues and even rap, raggae, & metal. One thing is certain, this band rocks and people love them and their tunes.
